2018 October, Tokyo Japan – XAG Japan took part in AGRIWORLD Tokyo 2018, the largest agricultural expo in Japan, from Oct 10th to 12th, bringing its P Series Plant Protection UAS to professional visitors at the annual event.

Visitors from Japan, Korea, SEA and other countries were welcomed at the booth. Many local farmers, authorities, and large organisations showed great interest in XAG™ Plant Protection UAS. Rising demand for the autonomous Plant Protection UAS products shows that markets believe precision and effectiveness are becoming new explosions at industry.

Most of the spraying drones in the market adopts GPS positioning, which could lead to 1-10m flight-path deviation, further resulting in potential uneven spraying. If the deviation happens in tea plantation aerial spraying, chemicals might be totally wasted on the ground, polluting soil and underground water, besides having no effect on tea leaves. Many Industry professionals are eager to find suitable products to avoid the situation.

Comparing to traditional remote-control spray drones, XAG™ Plant Protection UAS is equipped with the Real-time Kinematic (RTK) Navigation System and fully AI-based autonomous control. It provides centimitre-level control accuracy, both horizontal and vertical, helping the UAS precisely follows its pre-set flight path and terrain with barely offset.

The P Series Plant Protection UAS is certified by Japan Agricultural Aviation Association (JAAA) as a promising product, indicates approval of its outstanding flight and spraying performance. Currently, JAAA has set certification criteria mostly based on manual control spray drone. However, with fully autonomous UAS emerging in the market, insiders said new regulations may be rolled out to cater to new market demands.
